Once again I am writing to you because I feel I have not given you all the facts of my trip to Kilimanjaro I have developed the photographs and compiled an album with captions and interesting information. I try do this after every trip I take!
I want to assure you that all arrangements, transfers to and from the airport were on time and I never had to worry if they would be punctual. The Keys Hotel suited me fine It is more of a hotel than a hostel but perfectly satisfactory for the before and after the climb.
As advertised it is really "friendly" The staff are excellent and always ready to help. The luggage storage is of course a great help. Above all at all times there is hot water in the shower. You can imagine what a michaia that is after 7 days without. Make no mistake wet ones are a very good substitute.
I was treated like a queen (indeed in age I was the oldest one on the mountain - most climbers were young, many were students, from all over the world. I was not the only Israeli - I met up with four young Israelis and it was a highlight for all of us.
Being alone with Clarence my guide was a wonderful experience - I do not know if you are familiar with the guides but he was outstanding. Kind, helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and his English was excellent. The fact that it was just the two of us made it easier because we set our own rules which I am very familiar with The slow walking and the few and short breaks. There should be a "handbook" of how to do this climb. I know the altitude is a problem for some because I saw many people returning before the summit. Fortunately I do not have this problem - I did take the pills but gave them up very quickly because of side effects. The first and last time for that!
All in all everything worked out my way I did not mention that I had my own "dining room" with a chair and a table and it was always set for my meals in a simple clean manner. I also had the nicest tent which was roomy and comfortable. Nothing was luxurious but it was always the best it could be. My food requirements were met and I ate as I always do minus the items I do not like. There is always an alternative I also took my own needs with me from Israel.
I am still getting constant flashbacks of the experience so I guess I have an overdose of adrenaline.
Hag sameach to you and your family and once again my thanks for your help, caring and professionalism.

Gary and I enjoyed the ultimate travel adventure together thanks to your recommendations, attention to detail and arrangements. The trip was perfect in every way! Your concern for us along the way was unprecedented and much appreciated. We felt like dignitaries and treated with respect from whomever you chose to provide the various services.
For some context about me, I have traveled to over 40 countries on every continent from $2 per day in India to the Four Seasons and Peninsula hotel chains in many world class cities however this itinerary and accommodations exceeded my every expectation and as previously stated was my greatest travel adventure ever!
Thank you very much for your assistance and for making this a wonderful and memorable trip. Brian (Cape Town)

Cape Town - South Africa - Oct 2015
Well we have to admit that we have fallen in love with Africa in general. Botswana was simply stunning and beautifully managed. The three camps you chose for us gave us a different experience and all the staff were absolutely wonderful.
Victoria falls was great once you get your visa- the contrast between the efficiency. Of Botswana and Zimbabwe could not have been greater than at the border. The Victoria Falls Hotel was superb.
We had a wonderful time in Johannesburg. We loved the hotel and the restaurants around the area. Wildro tours were fantastic- always early for pick-ups and the tours were fascinating- I think more people should do that tour of Soweto- it was not what we expected at all.
We would like to thank you and Kathi for organising such a wonderful African holiday for us it really was unforgettable. We will always recommend you to our friends. And we are already planning to bring the rest of our family to Africa in July 2017- we will be in touch.
Thanks Again, Kindest regards

Every trip you have organised for me, every stop you have suggested or insisted I make, have been absolute gems. Why did I ever try to do this myself??
Although I live in South Africa, your knowledge of our country is breathtaking.
Your ability to plan holidays that take me down paths of exploration and wonder in this country I thought I knew so intimately is, well, breathtaking.
I love, love, your tours.
You, yourself are a gem
Thank you again!

I have thought of you often over the past week and apologize for not sending this note earlier. It is always crazy coming back home after an extended vacation and the days get away too quickly.
Amy and I had a fantastic trip to Africa! We were so pleased with the accommodations, the itinerary, and the people we encountered…just a wonderful experience! I want to thank you both for all the time and energy that you put into building this itinerary for us as it was all we hoped for and then more. We were lucky to have very good weather on our journey. We did not see a drop of rain for the entire 17 days, and we were well prepared for the various temperatures that we encountered.
Highlights / Comments of each stop throughout the trip…
Cape Town is a spectacular city, and we learned so much from Rhys. He is very professional as well as flexible, and we really enjoyed our time traveling in and around the city with him. The Cape Grace is a superb hotel with great service and so well located on the waterfront. We were lucky on the weather as it was beautiful every day.
Bush Lodge was a very good choice for our safari portion. We were pleased with accommodations, food and service. The only downside was that there were a lot of kids on property while we were there. Lauren, the Resort Manager, and Fred, our Ranger, took very good care of us and were fantastic people. We saw the Big 5 numerous times and the photo opportunities never stopped.
Livingstone was a new experience as there was a dramatic difference in leaving South Africa. Victoria Falls was amazing and the helicopter ride topped off the view. The cruise and elephant safari were great, and the lion encounter was ok. As far as the accommodations, the Royal Livingstone is a visually one of the most beautiful hotels that I have seen. Being on the property was just breathtaking. That being said, the food and service we encountered there were not at the same level of the other hotels that we stayed. This was disappointing considering the beauty of the property and price. There was also confusion on a few occasions with tour operators between the tours we had booked, pick up time for departure, etc. This is the only place where we encountered any problems at all.
Johannesburg was a quick one night stay, but the hotel and location were great. Transfers to and from the airport were professional and on time.
Indigo Bay was a challenge to get to, but well worth it! The property was beautiful, the weather fantastic, and the food and service were both very good. Our accommodations were very nice, and while there were several children there, the adult pool allowed us quiet time to relax.
We had a blog for our friends and family to follow our adventures that got great reviews, and returned from our trip with over 1300 photos and many videos. The memories of this trip will stay with us for life and we are so happy to have experienced it all.
You will definitely hear from us in the future as we would be anxious to take a similar trip over the next few years.
Again, thank you for all of your help and work to set up this once in a lifetime journey for us! AMAZING!

Karina and I would like to put on record our appreciation of the Honeymoon holiday your arranged for us in South Africa.
From start to finish the arrangements were perfect, and you clearly understood our needs. We haven’t stopped talking about the holiday since returning, and the photos and souvenirs serve as a constant reminder of this.
We are very happy to recommend African Stay.

Hey Dorienne .
I just wanted to share this letter that I sent to Nancy, my publicist.
Nancy, I'm just so glad you put me in touch with Dorienne Levitt. You know better than most I'm not easy to deal with and have a fairly large amount of requirements and Dorienne sorted it all out! She was professional but personal and her attention to the little details really rocked the tour. She booked me and the band at the most incredible hotels and made sure I always had somewhere to work out, vegetarian cooking and wow, the experiences were incredible.
I got to see every facet of Southern African life from the townships of Alexandra and Soweto to the exquisite power of that unique wilderness. I gotta say, you would have loved Cape Town - wish you'd have come along. So anyways, Dorienne helped out with my concerns and gave me all the cultural tips and tricks and wheres and hows so even when we were out and about we felt perfectly safe. All in all the tour was much more than a success, it was the most special experience of my life!
See ya, Arron

Where do we start? From the moment we exchanged emails to the fortunate time we spent with you, we have been overwhelmed by you.
By how wonderfully you managed our safari, by how far you went to ensure we had an amazing time, by the time and energy and knowledge you shared with us in Jo'burg but most importantly by the beautiful soul we've met and see in you. Words will never be enough but thank you.

Our trip to Ivory Tree Lodge was very special. Firstly, because we were celebrating Ron's 70th. Secondly because it was the first time that all our family (14 of us) excluding one grandchild who didn't come, have ever been on holiday together.
To cap it all, I.T.Lodge was a really good up-market resort. The rooms were very pleasant and the reception area was very good. It has a lovely lounge and bar and 3 good buffet meals a day. The 2 game drives a day were pleasant - we didn't see hoards of animals but there was a good variety, including lions, elephants, white Rhino, buffalo, cheetah, and the usual zebra, giraffe etc. The Pilansberg Nature reserve is particularly pretty, surrounded by mountains.
On Friday night they gave us an adjoining private dining room for Ron's birthday party, with lovely flowers, pretty serviettes on the table and a birthday cake with sparklers which the staff carried in singing Happy Birthday.
Thanks for booking the venue for us - it was a good choice and we would certainly call on you again and would recommend you to our family and friends.

For the past 5 years we have left our frigid New York winter and travelled to South Africa for our annual December holiday. The last three trips we have made use of your services and I am just writing to say thank you. There is really no comparison between the trips you organized for my family and I and our first two trips to South Africa. Thanks to you I feel I have truly experienced the finest that your exquisite country has to offer from the fabled African sunsets atop Table Mountain to taking our afternoon tea surrounded by such powerful beauty at Kirstenbosch.
The accommodation you book for us is perfectly South African and is always both charming and comfortable. I won't even get started on the delicious meals at each stay. I am now an expert on bobotie, chakalaka and of course the pap and boerewors. There is nothing better than eating outstanding South African food while experiencing the natural splendor and of the landscape. It is truly moving.
I have travelled widely through Europe, South America, Asia and Africa and no one books better holidays than you. We feel completely safe and confidant that we'll have a remarkable experience with you in charge. You have never let us down. I know that our next journey through the country will be another unique escape from the stresses of New York City and I am sure of this because I have learnt to rely on your impeccable judgment and unimpeachable professionalism.
There is no one finer than you Dorrienne!

I had difficulty with mobile service over the last week, hence the reason I have not been in touch.
I have had the most wonderful experience in your country, and I want to thank you so much for your part in it.
The tour was informative, emotional, dramatic, upsetting, at times unfathomable. I learned so much from my excellent and enthusiastic guide-I could not have wished for more. He looked after me and encouraged me at every step to ensure I made the most of the opportunity. Please be kind enough to express my thanks to the company he works for. I then spent three days at Jock Safari Lodge and the last couple of days at the Walkerson Estate. I feel I have just visited Paradise, your country has got into my soul.
I mean to return some day. Meanwhile, thank you again.
Very best wishes

If I may take this opportunity to again thank you for the package you put together for us on our fantastic African holiday. This Is the frst time I have booked a holiday through a travel agency and it was an absolute pleasure to deal with you. Your service and communication was second to none and made the whole experience an enjoyable one.. Mum (lindy) has not been able to stop talking about the holiday since we got back and It has left myself with some amazing memories with my mother.
Sadly and with a heavy heart I inform you mum passed away on Friday 20th September after a short battle with cancer..
Looking back i believe the excitement of the impending holiday gave my mother strength, this holiday was for her a lifelong dream and I can happily say she had the 'time of her life'.
So thank you once again..
Mum is now at peace.
